Yathra Yoga

The Body achieves, what the Mind believes

What is Yatra Yoga?

The word “ya” means movement and “tra” means “to liberate”. Yatra is a journey that helps us
overcome physical and mental conditioning that we have created for ourselves unconsciously and which limit us. Here YATRA refers to the journey of realizing our inner soul and to keep our body fit through intense walking and breathing exercises. Don’t go looking for parks, treadmills, footpaths and places to walk. A room with yoga mat is enough for doing this

In this program intense walking workouts and breathing exercises will be given. Through this exercises,

  • The sweat pores in your body will open,
  • The clothes you wear during exercise will be soaked with sweat,
  • Blood flow gets balanced,
  • Your lungs will get fully functional.
  • Pelvis,
  • thighs,
  • Knee joints,
  • Ankles,
  • Feet and legs, all of these will be strengthened.

Benefits Of Yatra Yoga

As with any yoga practice, there are some general and some more specific benefits to practicing Yatra Yoga. Here are just a few of the benefits you may experience. The physical disorders will be cured are as follows:-

Diabetes

Doing exercises regularly helps lower blood sugar levels by enhancing insulin sensitivity, allowing cells to use glucose effectively. This reduces the need for excess insulin production and aids in managing diabetes.

Blood pressure

Regular practice of intense walking workouts makes the heart stronger. A stronger heart can pump more blood with less effort. As a result, the force on the arteries decreases. This lowers blood pressure.

High Cholesterol

Exercise is important in the management of high cholesterol as exercise has been shown to activate the enzyme responsible for developing HDL’s(good cholesterol), and therefore increasing the amount released into the blood. This means that the HDL’s reduce the amount of LDL’s(bad cholesterol) in the blood, reducing the risk of Cardiovascular disease.

Asthma, Wheezing & Respiratory disorders

Regular walking and breathing exercises helps to improve your lungs capacity, in other words, the maximum amount of oxygen your body can use. Also, exercise increases blood flow to your lungs, promoting blood flow to the heart which pumps oxygen throughout your body. For example, people who exercise have more ability to pull oxygen from the lungs and into the blood that feeds the muscles that keep us going.

Frequent Sneezing

Practising breathing exercises and focusing on the breath can help to reduce stress and lower the amount of histamine in your body. Histamines cause allergy symptoms, such as itching and sneezing, and are also released as part of the stress response.

Burning Feet

It may be caused due to a type of nerve damage known as peripheral neuropathy. Burning is one symptom of peripheral neuropathy, but it can also be a “pins and needles” sensation, numbness, tickling, or tingling. Exercises such as walking workouts and breathing techniques are good for peripheral neuropathy as it improves blood circulation to the feet and reduces the burning sensation. Burning feet can be cured by practicing these exercises on a regular basis.

Menstrual irregularities

Engaging in regular walking workouts and breathing activities can help improve hormonal balance and regulate the menstrual cycle. These exercises reduce stress, boost circulation, and improve overall health, all of which can contribute to a more regular cycle.

Joint pain

These exercises supports joint health by improving flexibility and strength, which is beneficial for individuals who might be prone to joint issues. It also increases blood flow to the tissues, which can help reduce knee inflammation and swelling.

Varicose veins

By doing these exercises, you can improve how your varicose veins look and feel by reducing your swelling and improving your pain. Your calf muscles act as pumps and serve to move blood back up from your feet and legs to your heart. Regular exercise improves your overall circulation in addition to helping with excess weight gain, another risk factor for varicose veins. It can help improve your symptoms and reduce your risk of developing more.

Renal dysfunction

For individuals with kidney disease, walking workouts may help prolong life and reduce the risk of needing dialysis or a kidney transplant. Specifically relating to kidneys, walking workouts can reduce the risk of cardiovascular problems. People living with kidney disease, especially when on dialysis, are more at risk of having heart-related issues. It keeps your blood pumping throughout the organs in your body, which is good for many health conditions.
